Purees

Finger Foods
Once your baby is old enough to start eating finger foods, there are a variety of healthy options to choose from. Finger foods can help your baby develop their fine motor skills and coordination.
Banana Oatmeal Cookies
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a large bowl, mash 1 ripe banana.
- Add 1/2 cup of rolled oats, 1/4 cup of almond flour, 1/4 cup of coconut oil, 1/4 cup of honey, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the bowl.
- Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
- Drop the dough by rounded tablespoons onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
Apple Cinnamon Muffins
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a large bowl, combine 1 cup of whole wheat flour, 1/2 cup of sugar, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together 1 egg, 1/2 cup of milk, and 1/4 cup of melted coconut oil.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Fold in 1 grated apple.
- Fill a muffin tin lined with paper liners with the batter.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Sweet Potato Fries
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
- Cut 1 sweet potato into fries.
- Toss the fries with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and a pinch of salt.
- Spread the fries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the fries are golden brown and crispy.
Toddler Meals
Once your toddler is old enough to eat table foods, there are a variety of healthy and nutritious meals that you can make for them.
Chicken Noodle Soup
- In a large pot, combine 4 cups of chicken broth, 1 cup of cooked chicken, 1 cup of carrots, 1 cup of celery, 1 cup of onions, and 1 cup of egg noodles.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.
Spaghetti with Meat Sauce
- In a large skillet, brown 1 pound of ground beef.
- Add 1 onion, chopped, and 2 cloves of garlic, minced, to the skillet and cook until softened.
- Add 1 (28 ounce) can of crushed tomatoes, 1 (15 ounce) can of tomato sauce, 1 (15 ounce) can of tomato paste, 1 teaspoon of dried oregano, 1 teaspoon of dried basil, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Cook 1 pound of spaghetti according to package directions.
- Serve the spaghetti with the meat sauce.
Grilled Cheese Sandwiches
- Spread 1 tablespoon of butter on one side of 2 slices of bread.
- Place 1 slice of cheese on one of the slices of bread.
- Top with the remaining slice of bread, buttered side up.
- Grill the sandwich in a panini press or on a griddle until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
